Vi Carmount, of Hanover, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Hanover and District Hospital on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. She was 91.

Born in Egremont Township on May 26, 1926 to the late Thomas and Tacey (nee Gordon) Moore. Vi will always be remembered for her love and passion of music. She was involved in a band called Rhythm 5 and played many venues, most famous for the Holstein Rodeos and all over Ontario. She loved playing and found great enjoyment entertaining others.

Survived by loving son Ray (Catherine) Carmount of RR#1 Hanover. Loved grandmother of Kimberly Lewis, Rob (Kerry) Carmount both of Angus and their mother, Patricia Carmount (Kim Peter) of Hanover, who had a special bond with Vi and will remember her dearly. Much loved great grandmother of Taylorr, Braydan, Keely and Camdyn. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lloyd (1983), sister Bessie Reay-Diebel and brothers Clarence and Gordon Moore.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 7-9 pm  where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday,  September 30, 2017 at 10:30 am. Interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Durham.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Hanover and District Hospital or to the SPCA would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
