William George "Bill" Pentland passed away on March 14, 2025 in his 76th year, under the care of palliative staff at Brucelea Haven in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada.
Bill was born in Hanover, Ontario, on November 22, 1949, to the late Percival "Perce" Pentland and Ida "Marion" (nee Huber) Pentland. Bill was also predeceased by his twin brother Douglas in 2018.
Bill is lovingly remembered by his sisters Joanne (Doug) Hammond of Groveland, California, and Marie (Sean) O'Brien of Tilbury, Ontario, and their children: Jennifer and her daughter Chloe and son Liam, Kathleen and her daughter Quinn, and Peter and his daughter Mirabel. Special cousins Elaine (Wash) and Gary Demand of Birch Run, Michigan cherish Bill's memory.
Bill's family is immensely grateful for the dedicated staff at both Brucelea Haven and Sprucewood Lodge in Hanover, who provided wonderful care for Bill as his health declined.
Perhaps you continue to walk or drive on concrete work done by Bill's company, or perhaps you once encountered him on the beach in Acapulco, his favourite destination for many years. Treasure your fond memories.
A Celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date. Inurnment to follow at Hanover Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
Memorial donations to Fighting Blindness Canada, or to Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

I remember bill when we used to play pool in the pool hall in hanover. Bill and I made a couple of trips to London to the park lane hotel where we were both. I've seen two girls that was way way back. My deepest sympathy goes out too.All of bill's families. Another angel is born. Rest in peace my friend
