Beverley Ellen Williams, of Hanover, passed away after a brief illness at Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday, March 13, 2025. She was 66.
Born on July 12, 1958 in Guelph. Better known as Bev to many, she had a wonderful and caring disposition. Even faced with her health crisis, she made the loving decision to ensure that she was a donor so that she could continue to help others after her passing. She would always be willing listen and sometimes found solace in her four legged friends. She adored her horses and spending quality time riding and taking care of many horses over the years. She was a dedicated employee at Walmart here in Hanover and will be missed by not only her colleagues, but customers as well.
Devoted wife of Wayne Mountain of Hanover, and mother of son Jamie (Carol) Williams. Bev will be fondly remembered by her siblings Roger Troke, Debra (John) Reid and Cathy Williams as well as her nieces, nephews and their families. She will be missed by her sister in law Lynne Troke. Predeceased by her parents, brothers Gary Williams, Kenneth Williams, Doug Troke, Carol McAlister and sister in law Sally Troke.
To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Remembrance will be held in the summer.
Memorial donations to the OSPCA or Owen Sound Animal Shelter would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
Wiily and Carol,
Sorry to hear about Bev's passing. I spent many weekends in the barn with the horses, E.T. and Captain Morgan. Her friendship and advice will stay with me forever. I hope you take comfort in knowing how much of an impact your Mom made in Hanover. She was truly loved by both animals and people.
My deepest sympathy to Jamie and Carol. I have known Bev since our teens and had the pleasure of being coworkers over the years. May your memories of her life time be comforting to you through the years ahead.
- Jean HorstDeepest condolence to the family. Bev was a lovely lady. I worked with her at Walmart. She sure had a great sense of humor. So sorry for your loss.
- Debbie KaufmanBev and I were childhood friends, horse crazy barn girls, that spend many many happy hours riding out ponies outside, and inside, of town. Riding to Norms, tying the ponies to the parking meter and then sharing an ice cream cone with them.
We would often reminisce those happy memories over our adulthood when we would run into each other.
My condolences to her loved ones. I can easily imagine how much she will be missed.
