Marie Rosetta Gebhardt, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover Care Centre, on Monday, February 17, 2025 in her 87th year.
Born on August 28, 1938 in Neustadt, Ontario, to the late George and Laura (nee Baetz) Walker. Marie married her husband Norman in 1957, and eventually they moved to Hanover, where they enjoyed raising their family together. Marie worked for many people in town providing house cleaning services, and she worked for over 25 years at Exceldor (previously Swift's/P&H Foods). Family meant the world to Marie, and she loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed.
Survived by loved mother of Marlene Robbins of Hanover, Diane (Chris) Moore of Neustadt and Bruce Gebhardt (Jennifer Cowan) of West Grey. Devoted grandma of Jeremy Ross (Dana), Jaclyn Tomlinson (Kyle), Ryan Ross, Jason Moore (Tonya), Scott Moore (Ashleigh), Robin Moore, Zoey Gebhardt and Isla Gebhardt as well as 10 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her brothers Norman Walker and Rob Walker, and sisters-in-law Deb Walker, Janet Walker, Doreen Gebhardt, Elaine Gebhardt and Donna Gebhardt and their families.
Predeceased by her husband Norman, sons Larry, Kenneth and Ronald, son-in-law Gerald Robbins, brothers Harry Walker, John Walker, brothers-in-law Dan, Albert, Henry, Louis, and Alf, and sisters-in-law Beatrice, Florence and Edna.
A casual come & go Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, from 1-4 pm, at Neustadt Community Centre. Inurnment to follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Neustadt.
