Earl Edgar Yenssen, of Hanover, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 in his 82nd year.
Born in Normanby Township on August 14, 1943 to the late Herbert and Viola (nee Becker) Yenssen.
Earl was a dedicated husband, father and farmer. Earl has always loved the farm and the country lifestyle. He started out farming with his parents and then took over the family farm in 1968 where he made a life with Betty Ann. They lived there all their life until 2 and a half months ago when they moved to Hanover for the next chapter of their life. Earl has been a proud member of his community, maintaining memberships in the OFA and Trinity Lutheran Church and Choir.
Survived by his wife Betty Ann (Weigel) of 56 years. Loving father to daughter Nancy and husband Ron Butler of Angus and daughter Tammy Tims and partner Art of Cambridge. Sadly missed by grandchildren Ashley Butler (Dylan), David Butler (Ashleigh), Devin Tims and Dillion Tims. Dear brother of Shirley Lahn of Hanover and brother-in-law of Doug and Lori Weigel of Carrick. Earl will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Ayton Trinity Lutheran Church, Ayton on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11 am. Spring interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Ayton.
