Janet Myers

Janet Elizabeth Myers, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at The Village Senior's Community in Hanover on Sunday, February 9, 2025.  She was 88.

Born in Toronto on August 3, 1936 to the late Elwyn and Gladys Trainor. Janet met the love of her life Ken and spent a wonderful 60 plus years together until their health started declining. She was employed at Bell Canada for a bit, but enjoyed making a home for her family and helping her husband, the former Rev. Ken Myers at the United Church.

Survived by loving husband Kenneth Myers of Hanover. Loved mother of Susan (Paul) Brown of Kincardine and Jo-Anne (Michael) Murray of Port Elgin. Special grandmother of Kayla (Enzo), Kory, Lindsay (Andrew), Travis (Leah) and Courtney as well as loved great grandmother of Milo and Max. 

 To honour her wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. 

Memorial donations to the Grace United Church Hanover would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca

So sorry to hear of Janet's passing. Ken and Janet were neighbors of ours when we all lived at the mobile home park. Its been almost 20 years since I last saw them, but I remember Janet as a lovely quiet lady, and a good friend.

So sorry to hear of Janet's passing. I was Ken's PSW when they lived in Hanover. She always had a smile on her face .She was a special lady. RIP my friend.

So Sorry to hear that Janet has passed away she was a wonderful lady , always had a smile for everyone, she was a knittier in our knitting circle for a few years and we loved having her with us .
