Ronald "Ron" Ivan Bolton, of Walkerton, passed away at SBGHC-Walkerton, after complications of his recently diagnosed cancer on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He was 54.
Born in Walkerton on October 21, 1969 to Marie (nee Schwass) and Ivan Bolton. Ron was employed with Honda in Alliston for over 30 years. He loved not only watching but attending football and baseball games. He loved Alliston and made the town his own, but he especially loved attending their annual Potatoe-Fest.
Survived by loving mother Marie (nee Schwass) Bolton of Walkerton. He will be remembered by his Godmother Ruth Huenemoerder of Hanover as well as his uncles Harvey Bolton of Kincardine, Ed (Phyllis) Schwass of Hanover, Ken Schwass of Barrie, Ivan (Debbie) Schwass of Durham and many cousins, friends and extended family. Predeceased by his father Ivan.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at First St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Hanover on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 10 am until 10:45 am where a funeral service will commence at 11am. Pastor Jody Rinas officiating. Interment to follow in Hanover Cemetery. Pallbearers are: John Huenemoerder, Charlie Porter, Brian Dewar, Mario Tavares, Rob Bolton and Russell Bolton. Special flower bearer is Sonja Lindenschmidt.
