Archie (Clarence) Edward Baker, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, August 24, 2024. He was 69.
Born in Hanover on July 11, 1955 to the late Harvey and Bernice (nee Koenig) Baker. Better known as Archie by family and friends, he was a proud family man with a heart of gold. He loved his time on the road whether in his truck or old car. He enjoyed cruising to the trailer, cooking for his friends and family and spending time outdoors.
Survived by devoted wife and best friend Terri-Ann (nee Orton). Dear father of Lonnie (Alicia) Baker, Amy (Jeremy) Bentley and Blair (Amanda) Baker. Special grandpa of Nicole (Josh), Danica, Tyrese, Paisley, Claire, Bailey and Everett. Fondly remembered by his siblings Lavern Baker (Linda Lambier), Marilyn Anderson and Marg (Bob) Burrell as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Missed by his brother in law Darrell (Marlene) Orton and their extended family. Predeceased by his parents, parents in law Marg (Suik) & James Orton, brother in law Harold Orton and nephew Trevor Anderson.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Come and Go Celebration will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion - Hanover on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 1-3pm with Words of Remembrance to be held at 2:30pm.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
