Gail Elizabeth Greeley, of Hanover, sadly passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, June 30, 2024. She was 78.
Born in Sudbury on February 18, 1946 to the late Russell and Rita (nee Keetch) Kerr. Gail was the last surviving member of her Kerr family. She will be remembered for all her childcare and being a much loved Nanny. Gail always looked for ways to improve and cheer the fortunes of those around her. More recently Gail was known to “walk a mile” for her favourite burger.
Survived by stepchildren David Greeley (Ruben), Karilyn Greeley (Brian Shearson), Philip Greeley (Carole) and Bryan Greeley (Janet). Adored grandma of 11 and many great grandchildren whose eyes always brightened when she brought out the treats she stored in her refrigerator. Gail will be fondly remembered by her lifelong friends Mardy, Joyce and Bonnie. Predeceased by her parents Russell and Rita, husband Stanley, stepson Michael Greeley and her sibling Janice (Harold) Saarinen.
To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca. A celebration of Gail’s life will be planned at a future date.
