Lynn Charlene passed away peacefully at Brucelea Haven LTC on December 25, 2023 after a battle with Parkinson's disease. She was 64 years old.

  Lynn grew up in Hanover and Chesley with her parents, Roy and Darlene Gilkinson (pre-deceased) and her two sisters. She went to Hairstyling School and embarked on a very successful career at Dale's Hairstyling in Hanover. She opened and co-owned the Hair Connection in Kincardine before moving to Southampton where she launched "Trends Hair Salon"

  Lynn was filled with love for her two sons, Tyler Burke (Carrie) of Southampton, and Jesse of Salt Spring Island, B.C.  Her grandsons Griffen and Milo were a blessing to her. Her furry companion, Tucker was always by her side.

 Left missing their sister are Dawn Brownlee (Don, predeceased) and Laurie Symonds (Rick) of Hanover.  Lynn's special aunt Kitten (Sheila) and Uncle Wayne Horst lovingly watched over Lynn as parents would.  Her besties Cathy (Gert) Alcombrack of Kincardine and Tony Schnurr of Port Elgin will also feel her loss.  Lynn maintained a special bond with many others, notably the Burke family (including the boys' father Wayne Burke of Kincardine.) 

  Private inurnment with her parents at the Hanover Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home. 

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday May 4^th from 1-4pm at the Southampton Legion (13 Grosvenor St N, Southampton, ON N0H 2L0)
