Murray Almer Molson, a beloved husband, brother, and friend too many, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024 at Chapman House in Owen Sound, Ontario. Murray was born in Kitchener, Ontario on July 15, 1933 to his loving parents Oscar and Myrtle (nee Grant) Molson.
After graduation, Murray took a job at the Bank of Commerce. He decided the financial world was not for him and shortly after moved into Property Management in a Supervisory position. It was during this time that Murray met Rosemary Fenwick and 50 years ago they married and were deeply devoted to each other. After retirement Murray and Rosemary spent their days in Presqu’ile and Owen Sound. They enjoyed visiting casinos throughout the province.
Murray was an avid reader and you could always find him with his nose in a book. He was a mild mannered man with kind eyes and was a favourite with many of his nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by his brother Don and family, brother Bob (dec) and family; and by his extended family Duane (dec) wife Rosemary and family; Ron (dec), wife Marie and family; and Gayle (dec) husband Bob and family. Murray will be remembered by Valleyview residents for his consistent walks of the hallways.
To honour his wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society or to the Chapman House would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
