Donald “Don” William Fizell of Hanover, passed away suddenly at the Hanover & District Hospital on Saturday, January 6, 2024 in his 68th year.
Don was born in Walkerton on July 29, 1955 to Robert and Matilda (nee Altman) Fizell. In his younger years Don loved taking a cruise on his motorcycle, feeling the wind in his hair. He enjoyed camping, playing darts and horseshoes and spending time with family and friends. He was a hard worker and kind soul. He will be remembered by his work family at Maple Leaf Foods.
Devoted husband of Bonnie (nee Gaeler) Fizell. Dearly loved dad of Christopher Fizell (Krista Kuhl), Donny (Tracy) Fizell and Amanda (Cory) Lipskie. Special grandfather of Trinity, Dominic, Harmony, Owen and Ashlynn as well as his only great granddaughter Brooklyn Bailey. Don will be missed by his mother Matilda (Harrold) McNeil. Fondly remembered by his sister Janice Lippert. Predeceased by his father Robert, sister Lavina Cassidy and brother Albert Fizell.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
