Nancy Mary Stroeder (nee Hartman), of RR#3 Clifford, passed away peacefully at North Wellington Healthcare in Palmerston on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. She was 77.
Born on October 7, 1946 to the late Ralph and Clara (nee Dietrich) Hartman. Nancy was a Registered Nurse for many years and worked in a variety of places like the Birmingham Lodge in Mount Forest, Royal Terrace in Palmerston and at the Village in Hanover until her retirement.
Survived by devoted husband Leonard of RR#3 Clifford. Dear mother of Scott (Kathy) Stroeder of Heidelberg, Jeff (Bonnie) Stroeder of Wiarton, Ross (Melanie) Stroeder of Pike Bay and Nick (Dana-Jill) Stroeder of Waterloo. Special grandmother of Simon, Kody, Shane, Greg, Samantha, Charlotte, Talbot and Linden. She will be remembered by her step mother “Granny Annie” of Carleton Place. Fondly remembered by her siblings Judy, Sandra, Dolores, Louis, Helen and Paul as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her sister Brenda.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation held at Holy Family Church, Hanover on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 10-10:45 am. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11am. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Cemetery in Deemerton at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Cancer Society or to the Deemerton Cemetery would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.

I worked with Nancy at Sprucewood Lodge and she was so kind and caring to all the residents as well as to the entire staff. She was loved and respected by all who met her.

So very sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. I worked with her at Sprucewood as a Nurse as well. Nancy was alway a kind and helpful person caring about everyone. She had a great sense of humour and could always make you laugh when you were having a stressful shift. Heartfelt condolences to her family.
