It is with heartfelt sadness we mourn the loss of our loved one John Edgar Diehl 1951-2023.
John courageously fought a lengthy battle with jawbone cancer and severe radiation complications. His quality of life fading, hope lost, he chose his death day. Surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home assisted by MAID, John departed with dignity to Rest in Peace.
Beloved soulmate to Sheila for 52 years. Live Laugh Love. Loving father of Chad Diehl (Kim) and Kelvin, Tynessa (Jason) Zimmerman, Katie and Sarah. Treasured loving Opa to Katie, Sarah and Kelvin, 3 wonderful grandchildren, his pride and joy.
Loved brother of Emma Catto and Paul Diehl. Cherished cousin to Ann Ede and Linda. Memorable travels with sister in law Jenny (Bob) Shaw.
Forever in our hearts.
John was a kind, adventurous man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed meeting people and loved the great outdoors. At a young age he began developing his fishing skills to become a dedicated, experienced angler. He spent countless hours in his boat challenged by Lake Huron, determined to catch that trophy fish.
Larry, his fishing pal, your friendship was above and beyond. Thank you for taking him fishing during his illness. To all his friends and family who visited our home filling it with laughter and stories of fun past years. “Thank you for being my friend”
Sincere gratitude to the entire professional Medical Team and Mighton Funeral Home. You are very special people.
Cremation has taken place.
