Bruce Stanley Joseph Kissner, of Hanover, passed away suddenly of heart failure at Hanover and District Hospital on Friday, August 11, 2023. He was 82.
Born in Kingsville, Essex County on Christmas Day, 1940 to the late Wilfred and Jean (nee Hamilton) Kissner. Bruce called himself a ‘bean counter’ and had different careers within the bookkeeping/admin field. He was an active member of the AA community having successfully worked the program for almost 2 decades and we were all incredibly proud of him for it. He was a social person who was well known in his apartment building and he knew every person and dog by name. He told the best stories and his sense of humour was well known. He will be incredibly missed by so many people.
Survived by best friend and life partner, Charmaine Nunn of Hanover. Loved father of Allison Kissner (Marc Blouin), Christine Cairns, Michael (Kelly) Kissner, Keven (Woudy) Nunn, Michael (Linda ) Nunn and Kathy Dunn-Melito (Paul). Grandfather of Ashley (Weston), Stephanie (Nick), Nicole (Andrew) Makayla (John), Kasey (Brandon), Tyler (Dawn) and Alex (Alicia), Brodie, Logan, Emma, Sophie, Elijah and loved great grandpa and buddy of Dominic. Bruce will be remembered by his devoted friends that always supported and loved him no matter what, Paul and Maureen from Neustadt. Predeceased by his parents and his siblings as well as precious great granddaughter Eve.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration of Life will be held at The Parish Hall (212 Con Road 12, Formosa) on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 11 am. Lunch and Refreshments will be provided. All are welcome. .
Memorial donations to the charity of your choice or to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
