Arla Mary Hutton, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at The Village Senior's Community in Hanover on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. She was 97.
Arla was born in Huron Township to the late Robert and Catherine (nee Carter) Strathdee. She was a school teacher and farmed with her husband Tom in Bentinck Township as well as being a member of the U.C.W.
Survived by children Thomas "Tom" Hutton, Randall "Randy" (Betty) Hutton both of Hanover, Daryl (Faye) Hutton of Harriston, Anne (Richard) TenDen of Welland and Faye (Dell) Mercey of Wingham. Loved grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Catherine Ritchie of Sarnia. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Catherine (nee Carter) Strathdee, husband Thomas Hutton and brothers Roy and Carl Strathdee.
Family and friends are invited to Visitation at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 10-10:45am where a Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am. Pastor Jenn Brown officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Grace United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

My foundist memorey of your Mom was when we were were in grade 1 and she made us some homemade icecream and we sat out in the summer kitchen like big shots.
She made us feel special.

Aunt Arla will be missed dearly. Have many great memories on the Hutton farm & Grandpa Bob's farm. Us Ritchie city slicker kids couldn't wait for summer holidays to go the Huttons.
