Ernest ‘Ray’ Angel, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover & District Hospital on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. He was 84.
Born in Arran Township on January 23, 1939, to the late William and Lucy (nee Farrow) Angel. Ray enjoyed country living and life on the farm. Some will remember him from his years of service and membership with the Odd Fellows Lodge in Tara, and the Rebekah Lodge in Wiarton. Ray was a dedicated family man and caregiver, always kind and polite, and was proud of his boys. He will be missed.
Survived by loving wife Ginger Angel of Hanover, and sons Darryl of Hanover, Robert of Neustadt, and Marty of Durham. Fondly remembered by sister Betty Lou Fleming of Owen Sound, nephew Scott Fleming, sister-in-law Sheila Scarbo of Cornwall, and family friends Tami and Paul Arseneau. Predeceased by his parents.
A casual Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11 am, at Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara.
Memorial donations to Community Living Hanover & Area (HARC) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Although I had never met Ray before, l had the pleasure of rooming with him for a week in the hospital. During our conversations l could tell he was a kind and caring gentleman that was proud of his boys. Rest in peace Ray.

Our condolences to the Angel family, happy to have had the opportunity to have been neighbour's with Ray, Ginger and the boys for many years. Dad & Ray also spent a few years helping each other out farming and it was great that dad and Gary got to see Ray recently for a visit.
Ray's caring and generous spirit was remarkable and will be remembered. My condolences to the family during this time!
