Lloyd Gerhardt, formerly of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday, May 18, 2023. He was 93.
Born on January 5, 1930 in Normanby Township to the late Albert and Jennie (nee Peter) Gerhardt. Lloyd was a Beef Farmer and enjoyed the hard work farming entailed. He was employed with Sklar Peppler and enjoyed working with wood. He was a very skilled man and had many talents, and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
Survived by loving wife Joan (nee Horton) Gerhardt of Walkerton. Loved father of Debbie (Dave) Broderick of Cambridge, Jim (Pam) Gerhardt of Flesherton, Barb (Tom) Gibson of Clifford and Steve (Nicole) Gerhardt of Newfoundland. Special grandpa of 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his daughter in law Laurie Gerhardt, great great grandson Grayson Pereira and siblings Rueben Gerhardt, Bertha Maas, Viola Huehn, Mildred Wiseman and Florence Gerhardt.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 10-10:45am where a Funeral Service will commence at 11:00 am. Rev. Fred Ludolph officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
