Bruce William Disney, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at SBGHC-Chesley on Friday, May 12, 2023. He was 79.
Born on August 14, 1943 to the late Roy and Ruth (nee Weirmier) Disney in Hanover. Bruce was a salesman with various companies in the welding industry. He loved hockey and enjoyed his yearly trips to Florida to avoid the Grey-Bruce winters until his health declined.
Survived by children Wendy (Paul) Moos, Donna (Jim) Cook, Terry (Deanna) Sulkye and Debbie Hettrick (Robert Simmons) all of Hanover. He will be remembered by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his siblings Grace (Bruce) Kaiser of Conestoga, Marlene (Bob) Schnurr of Owen Sound and Doreen "Dolly" Gateman of Elmwood. Predeceased by his wives Shirley McDonald and Bonnie Bierworth as well as his children Glen Sulkye, Brian Sulkye and Sharon (Keith) Hopkins and brother in law Don Gateman.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 10-10:45am where a Memorial Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place with a private inurnment in Durham Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Cancer Society or to the Parkinson's Society are appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca

We were sad to hear of Bruce's passing. Looking out our front window is different now. We would often look out and see Bruce working in his yard, keeping his home and gardens beautiful. We are going to miss our neighbourly chats. Thinking of his family at this difficult time.
