Larry Allan Schaefer, of Brockton, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, April 7, 2023. He was 76.
Born on June 23, 1946 to the late Linus and Melinda (nee Dahms) Schaefer. Many will remember Larry working at Maple Leaf Foods in Walkerton. He thoroughly enjoyed nature, especially hunting and fishing with family and friends.
Survived by son Richard "Rich" (Michelle) Schaefer of Hanover and son in law Ian Fraser of Aliston. Loved grandfather of Lucas and Brody Schaefer and Conor and Ella Fraser. Dear brother of Ken (Shirley) Schaefer of Mildmay and Shirley (Larry) Klein of Cambridge. Remembered by his nieces and nephews as well as the mother of his children Victoria Churchill. Predeceased by his beloved daughter Sherry Fraser and brother Harvey (Jean) Schaefer.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering held at the Hanover Park on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Please feel free to bring along your lawn chairs and reminisce with us. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations to the Launch Pad Youth Technology Centre (https://mylaunchpad.ca/) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
