Phyllis Marie Blake, of Hanover, passed away suddenly at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday, March 30, 2023. She was 84.
Born on November 6, 1938 in Mildmay to the late Thomas and Irene (nee Hertzberger) Herman. Phyllis met the love of her life on April Fool's Day and was married on November 10, 1956. She enjoyed helping and assisting Arnie with his business of Heating and Cooling while still finding time to raise their family.
Survived by husband Arnold "Arnie" Blake of Hanover. Loved mother of Bonnie (David) Miller of Kitchener, Cheryl (Brian) McMann of Hanover and her son in law Philip Hotte of Mississauga. Dear grandmother of Stacy (Ryan), Chris, Aaron, Rachel and Amy (Grace) and loved great grandmother of Aoife, Elowyn and Nolan. Remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her beloved daughter Debbie Hotte, brothers Arthur (Leona) Herman, Oliver (Alice) Herman, Clarence Herman, Lloyd (Faye) Herman and sisters Florence (David) Hennessy, Gladys (Francis) Ranger and Lavina (Tony) Daigle.
Family and friends are invited to Visitation held at Holy Family Church, Hanover, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 10 am until time of a Funeral Mass at 11 am. Father Romalito Guillen officiating. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Hanover.
Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
