George Hugh Tabone, of Hanover, passed away at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. He was 84.
Born in Silema, Malta, on June 21, 1938, to the late Anthony and Josephine (nee Bruno) Tabone. George covered many miles of roads over his years working as a truck driver. He also loved to attend and work at various auction sales. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus as well as Holy Family Parish. Friends will remember him at the coffee club at McDonalds. His favourite pastime was playing cards, especially solo at both Sacred Heart and Holy Family. He is remembered by Mary Ann Grubb's family. Predeceased by his wife Arlene (nee Marshall), and special friend Mary Ann Grubb.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 10:30 am, at Holy Family Church. Inurnment in Hanover Cemetery Columbarium.
Memorial donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
So Sorry to hear of the Passing of George. My farm was across the road from his house in Priceville. He would always stop by with a Big Smile & helpful suggestions.
