Very sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. She was a lovely lady. I had hoped to attend the visitation today before the funeral service but the weather is nasty here, preventing me from being there so I wanted to pass on my sincere sympathy to the family this way instead.

I will always remember what a kind soul your Mom was. When I was in grade 5 or so I was given the job to purchase a Christmas gift with monies collected from fellow classmates. I headed to the store and found a beautiful chip and dip bowl. I thought it was perfect and asked your Mom how much it would cost. She asked me how much I had to spend. When I told her what I had she immediately said, “well my dear, that's exactly what it cost”. Years later I realized how generous she was and that the bowl would have been much more than I was able to give her. I have fondly remembered her kindness. Know you each have many beautiful memories of your very precious Mom. Sincere sympathy, Sherry Hallman
