Ivan Kreller, of Hanover, passed peacefully at the Hanover & District Hospital on Sunday, February 12, 2023 in his 91st year.
Ivan's passion for education earned him positions from teaching in one room schools to Principalship at Wellesley Public School and then Harriston Public/Senior Public School. He wed Norma Fischer in 1955 and they had 4 children. Ivan was an active member of the community serving the Town of Harriston, Palmerston Hospital and St Mathews Church. The memories of companionship, with friends and family were cherished collected from the years living in Wellesley, Harriston, Amberley and the Hanover area.
Ivan is survived by his loving daughters Cindy Whytock of Neustadt, Elisa Kreller of Vancouver, and Paula (Edward) Hale of Georgetown. Loved by his grandchildren Wes (Andrea) Whytock, Tom (Christie) Whytock, Brad (Amanda) Whytock, Jenna (Maitland) Underwood, Cassandra (Steve) Renton, Leslie Hale (Julian) and Nicholas (Haley) Hale, and five great grandchildren: Ethan, Tegan, Avery, Keeton and Birkson. He is also survived by his in-laws Susie Kreller, Doris Fischer, Larry and Rose Fischer, and Sandra and Cam Dougall as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families. Predeceased by his wife Norma (nee Fischer), son David, parents Menno and Christina (nee Lantz) and siblings Elmer, Edwin, Fred, Irene and Sam, and brother-in-law Armand Fischer.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service held at St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Hanover on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 1pm. Private family Inurnment in Hanover Cemetery.

of your father's passing yesterday from Rosie in B..C.
I have been in to visit Ivan several times since losing my sister Edna who had been
living there too.The three of us would have coffee together and chat about
old times and the fun we had.
Your mother was one of my best long time friends, and still miss her.
Lisa, so glad you brought your father up for a lovely visit here at my house
in Thornbury last year, he so enjoyed it, as did we.
He will now be embracing Norma and David, and in a new place with Peace.
