Beatrice Laura Beckberger, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover Care Centre, on Monday, January 23, 2023. She was 89.
Born in Brant Township on August 24, 1933, to the late Milton and Martha (nee Rody) Gateman. Many may remember Beatrice from her years working at P&H Foods (Exceldor), and her years as a faithful member of her church and the CWL.
Loving mother of Sheila (Peter) Walter of RR5 Mildmay, Kathy Aljoe of Hanover, Debra (Ivan) Schwass RR1 Durham, and Daniel Beckberger (Roxann) of Durham. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Michelle (Dan), Jason (Raelynn), Corey (Amanda), Christopher, and Jennifer (Doug), and great grandmother of Logan, Brandon, Josh, Leena, McKinley, Alaina, Cali, Seth, Shelby, and Charlie. Fondly remembered by sisters Dolores (Robert) Bohnert and Dianne (Gary) Hudson both of Hanover. Predeceased by husband Clarence (1996), her parents, son-in-law Brent Aljoe, and sister Florence Monk.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Church, Hanover, on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 10-10:45 am, where a Funeral Mass will follow at 11 am. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Hanover.
Memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
