She met her husband Philip in Canada and they were married on May 10, 1957 and were together for 48 years and had six children.
Joan was a wonderful kind woman, who loved her children and grandchildren dearly. As her family was located all over Ontario, she would spend many hours with them on the phone each day. Joan loved her gardens, visiting with family and friends and crafting. All of her children and grandchildren have at least one blanket she has made for them. Joan loved to laugh, share coffee, meals and desserts with friends and family. Her faith was also very important to her, she hardly missed a Sunday attending services.
The visitation will be held at the New Apostolic Church , 517 12th Street, Hanover on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm followed by a funeral service at 7pm. Refreshments will be served in the basement following the service.

My sincere condolences with the passing of your beloved mom and grandma
She deeply loved and was so proud of each one of you. She often told me she felt so blessed to have such caring and devoted children.
She loved chatting to her brother and they would usually end up reminiscing about the years of their youth especially the years before they came to Canada.
May our Lord and Saviour comfort, sustain and guide each one of you during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Alice
