William "Bill" Whitehead, of Hanover, passed away at The Village Senior's Community, Hanover on Friday, December 16, 2022.
Born in Hanover on April 22, 1941 to the late Stewart and Irene (nee Priebe) Whitehead. Bill was employed for over 38 years with Hanover Kitchens. He was a hard worker and enjoyed all his co-workers and friendships he made over the years there. A proud member of the IWA (International Woodworkers Association). Bill was a caring man and loved to talk to people and had a great love for animals. He always put his family first. His favourite pastime was keeping his car clean. He loved driving and sitting on his porch talking to his family and many friends with his fur baby by his side. He had a great love for the Town of Hanover and was quite the Historian. He was a former member of the Streetiques and St. John’s Ambulance – Hanover.
Survived by his devoted wife Marg (nee Egi) Whitehead of Hanover, beloved daughter Kim (Alan) Thomson of Brockton. Proud grandpa of Jarrett Thomson (Kristal) of Kenilworth and Bailey (Ryan) Donnelly of Walkerton. Bill will be missed by his fur baby “Miley” and remembered by his sister Betty (Mel) Weick of Hanover.
Private family visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home. A private family Inurnment was held in Hanover Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations to the St. John's Ambulance - Hanover or to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter were appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
Marg , I just learned of Bill's passing + I am sorry. When I think of him I see a smiling friendly , kind + happy man who always stopped to talk + inquire about your well-being.
I always enjoyed those chats๐
