Harvel "Harv" Murray Allen, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. He was 88.
Born in Hanover on July 18, 1934 to the late Joseph and Caroline (nee Mortley) Allen. Harv was the youngest of 9 children. He was employed for many years at Smitty's in Hanover as well as drove and delivered bread for Weston's Bakery out of Walkerton.
Remembered by his brother in law Kerwin Penman of Mission Texas as well as his many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his beloved wife Velda Alice (nee Ammerman), brothers J.C, Leslie, Gordon, Harry, Jack and sisters Lavina Wilson, Muriel Last and Velma Penman.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11 am at the Hanover Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church or to the Hanover and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
I have many fond memories of this dear man. We spent many a Saturday night enjoying him and Vera's company.

So sorry to hear of Harv's passing. I have the pleasure of working with Harv at Smitty's several years ago. I will always remember him as a kind and gracious man.
