Shirley Margaret Rush, of Elmwood, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, November 28, 2022. She was 84.

Born in Owen Sound, Ontario, on September 19, 1938, to the late John and Sarah (nee Steinoff) Follis. Many may remember Shirley from her years working as a server and cook at Norm's Restaurant in Hanover, and then later managing the Hanover Bowling Lanes for a short time period with her husband Jack, as well as running a taxi cab service with her husband called "Jack's Cab".  

Remembered by her children Harold (Wendy) Rush of Elmwood, Robert Rush of Hanover and Deann (Craig) Rush-Deacon of Bancroft. Special grandma Justin, Stacey, Ryan, Courtney (Puneet) and great grandmother of Nash, Dominic, Nevaeh and Ariyan. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Rush and her siblings.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurnment in Hanover Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
