Tunkl, Annelene "Ann" of Ayton, resident of Rockwood Terrace in Durham, passed away November 9, 2022 in her 86th year. Born in Oberderdingen Germany on September 22, 1937 to the late Fritz and Eliese Mayer of Germany.
Ann had a great passion for nature, sewing and cooking. But her favorite job was being the best Oma to her grandchildren. Survived by her children Alex Tunkl, Angela (Gary) Rouw, Andy Tunkl, brother Fredrick Mayer and grandchildren Josh and Alexis Tunkl, Alaina Rouw, Michayla (Jeremie) Duguay, Brittany Cronier, Marcus and Jayda Tunkl and many great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her husband Adi Tunkl, infant son Andreas, brother Hugo Mayer, sister Hilda Mayer and her grandchildren Kyle Kaufman and Stephanie Tunkl.
To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Special thanks extended to the entire team at Rockwood for their exceptional care!
