Kenneth Charles Knapp, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2022. He was 77.
Born in Knappville on August 21, 1945 to the late Earl and Christine (nee Krohn) Knapp. Ken was hard working and loved the outdoors. He could be found in the bush hunting, fishing or just enjoying the sounds of the earth. He farmed for most of his life and taught his boys the true meaning of hard work. Those who knew Ken will know that his true passion was running his sawmill, and playing music with his friends.
Survived by sons Michael (Kelly) Knapp and Steve Knapp both of RR#1 Hanover. Loved grandfather of Jeffrey, Jenna (Chris), Brandon and great grandchildren Caralina and Grayson. Ken will be remembered his wife Wendy (Deary) Knapp. Remembered by his siblings Alice Grice of Walkerton, and Robert Knapp of Bentinck Township, as well as his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents, and brothers Wilfred and Garland Knapp.
Family and friends are invited to visitation held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 11 am. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Lung Association or charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
I'm sorry to hear of Ken's passing. He was such a good friend to my dad, Lorne, and Dad always appreciated his music so much.
