We cannot imagine a world without our G'ma. Marj was a sassy, tough, and determined Hafermehl girl from Mildmay. She has been a positive role model to her daughters and granddaughters teaching them to be a beautifully kind person like her. We will continue to smile at her great sense of humor.
Marjorie Edith Turner 78, passed away on October 5, 2022. She leaves behind her husband Richard (Dick) Turner and three daughters Tina (Mike), Jennifer (Greg), and Sherry (Scott). Six granddaughters: Kayla, Jessica, Sarah (Christian), Ainsley, Piper, and Izzie. One great grandson Jackson and another little one on the way. Marj has five stepchildren: Linda (Bill), Debbie (Bob), Susan, Michael (Cynthia) and Kevin (Katie).
Marj is predeceased by her parents Albert and Cecilia Hafermehl, first husband Harvey Diemert, brothers Harvey and Lloyd and sister Phyllis. She leaves behind her sisters Mary, Dorothy, Lucy, and brother David.
Marj was an avid reader and gardener, enjoyed quilting, volunteering at the Hanover hospital, travelling with her husband, and spending time with family and friends at the cottage. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, and her furry companion Cocoa.
A huge thank you to the oncology unit at the Grey Bruce Health Services with amazing staff, especially Dr. Aboo. CarePartners and Victoria Order of Nurses were our earth angels, making it possible for Marj to be home. We appreciate the staff at Chapman House who gave Marj and her family kindness and comfort in a time of need.
A private visitation and funeral was held with family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any of Marj’s favorite charities including Chapman House hospice, Grey Bruce hospice, or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Hello Dick and Family,
Learned of Marj's passing last night from a neighbor on Wild Olive in Fort Myers. So very sorry. We were your first villa mates! When Hollis and I heard of your first arrival were eager to meet you and Margi. We spent several years together until our move in 2012. So glad the new owners felt a welcoming connection to the both of you. Had many wonderful conversations in home and driveways. Margi and you served us a great meal of beef stew and strawberry shortcake. Loved our times in the driveway as we looked at our wonderful finds from our garage sailing Saturdays.
