Eleanor Irene Ditner (nee Walters), formerly of Mildmay, passed away peacefully at the Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday September 29, 2022 at the age of 83.
Beloved wife of the late Stan Ditner (June 1, 2022). Loving and devoted mother of Dave (Theresa) Ditner of Point Clark and Laurie (Pat) Reinhart of Elmira. Much loved Grandma of Shawn (Chloe) Reinhart and Craig Reinhart. Step-Grandma of Roy (Stephanie) Reif of Toronto. Cherished Great Grandma ("Grandma Elly") of Carter and Eloise Reinhart. Step-Great Grandma of Margot and Poppy Reif.
Dear sister of Ross (Linda) Walters of Hanover, Irene (Lorne) Kieffer of Mildmay and Shirley (Doug) Schwehr of Hanover. Sister-in-law of Ruth Ditner of Walkerton, Frank O'Malley and Shirley (Seigi) Kopp all of Kitchener. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by her parents Murray and Dorothy Walters, sister Lillian Delucchi, brother-in-law Tony Delucchi, nephew Richard Delucchi, in-laws Paul and Mae Ditner, brother-in-law Don Ditner and sister-in-law Cleo O'Malley. Our wonderful Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. She touched the lives of all who knew her.
A memorial visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday October 5, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. The family requests that all who attend both the visitation and service, to kindly wear a mask or face covering to help keep everyone safe at this time. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11:00 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mildmay. Father Les Syczygiel officiating. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in Sacred Heart Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
