Joanne Marie Hilgendorff, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital, Hanover on Thursday, September 1, 2022. 

She was 75.

Born in Hanover on June 14, 1947 to the late Christian and Mary (nee Zimmerman) Hilgendorff. Joanne enjoyed working as a cleaner for various Nursing Homes. She had a special connection with both clients and staff and will be missed.

Survived by brother Gerald Hilgendorff of Neustadt and by her sister Burnette "Nettie" Emke of Hanover and sister in law Helen Hilgendorff of Neustadt. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents, by her brother Ken and brother in law Ron Emke.

To honour her wishes, there will be no services or visitation. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations to the Lupus Society or charity of your choice were appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
