Glen Zuber, of Hanover, passed away suddenly at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener on Tuesday, July 05, 2022. He was 69.
Born on April 28, 1953 to Harold and Ollie (nee Flachs) Zuber in Walkerton and grew up in Formosa. Glen was a generous and warm man, who loved his children, grandchildren and family beyond words. When not doting on them, he enjoyed his room-temperature, no-ice diet pepsi, tracking his favourite sports teams, and rounds on the greens at various golf courses with his group of friends. In his younger years, he played competitive baseball/fast pitch at a championship level with Port Elgin and Clifford. He had a fabulous sense of humour, took every opportunity he had to see his loved ones and always had a pack of smarties and a joke for his grandchildren. He retired from Bruce Power as a Nuclear Operator.
Survived by loving children Amy Zuber Meehan (Philip) of Japan, Ashley (Jeffrey) Avis and Andrew (Melissa) Zuber both of Kitchener. Especially loved grandpa of George, Stella, Henry, Charlie, Teddy and Sam. Remembered by his mother Ollie Zuber of Walkerton. Missing him deeply is his girlfriend Gail Ruttan of Hanover and her children Terri (Ian) Radojkovic and Jeff Ruttan. Dear brother of Sheila (Richard) Voisin of Kitchener, Wayne (Deb) Zuber of Walkerton and Cindy (Dave) Pettigrew of Hanover as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his father Harold and brother Gary (Eileen) Zuber.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 1-3 pm. A Funeral Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 11 am. Pastor Lyndsay McGregor officiating.
Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
Sincere condolences to the family.

To Glen's family, We were very sorry to hear of Glen's passing. I had the privilege of playing fastball with Glen and against him. He was a wonderful player, excellent team-mate, and a real competitor. We had many a chat on the way to and from ball games and tournaments. I will always picture him as a classy first baseman who made the game look easy. Rest In Peace, Glen.
- Vince and Jane MullinSorry to hear of Glen passing. Worked with Glen at Heavy Water A crew from 77 to 83. Enjoyed my time with him, he taught me how to play chess during quiet times on outage. Great guy to work with and he will be missed.

- Carol & Wally HallidayI'm truly sorry to learn of Glen's passing. I had the good fortune, and pleasure, of working with him at the Heavy - he was a 'salt of the earth' guy, and his humour and competence both were greatly appreciated. My deepest sympathy to Glen's family.
- dave parkI will always remember aunt Marylou as a loving person that knew how to make you feel special. She was truly happy for everyone and the good things that were happening in your life.
She was also such a talented, creative person. She made such beautiful cakes, and was famous for her delicious wacky cakes. 💕
When I was a little girl, I remember seeing her Christmas tree. She had made a lot of the decorations herself. The tree was so fascinating, I could look at it for hours. She was an inspiration for my own Christmas trees. I wanted them to be as interesting as hers, and I try to make them detailed and unique, like she did.
I will always remember the beautiful shortbread cookies that she would make with my uncle Donny, her famous Waldorf salad and her special chocolates that she would make at Christmas. She knew how much my husband loved the peanut butter ones, and she would make him a special batch. She always spent time with me at occasions, and helped make me feel included. And she always made me feel special.
I will really miss you. I love you. I hope you are happy living in your paradise with Jesus, and all your family that have gone home before you. I know you will watch over all of us.
I will pray for strength for my loved uncle Donny, your wonderful son Todd, his beautiful wife Amy, your cherished grandchildren, and all of your loving family.
It was a privilege to call you my aunt. I love you.
Thinking of you at this time ... Warmest of condolences
