ERNEWEIN
Janet Lenore Ernewein, of Hanover, passed away after a nine year battle with breast cancer, just a day after her 56th birthday at Hanover and District Hospital in Hanover on Monday, July 4, 2022.
Born in Walkerton on July 3, 1966 to Walter and Teresa (nee Zettler) Schnurr. Janet will be remembered for her friendly smile as she worked for many years with Rona in Hanover. She enjoyed seeing the customers and helping all the staff. She was devoted to her family and will be forever in their hearts.
Survived by devoted husband Ed Ernewein of Hanover. Loved mother of Joel Ernewein and Dane Ernewein both of Hanover. Janet will be forever in the heart of her mother Teresa Schnurr of Walkerton. Fondly remembered by her siblings Glen (Teresa) Schnurr of Hanover, Judy (Ron) Benallick of Carlisle, Dan Schnurr of Guelph, Michael (Darlene) Schnurr of Formosa, Andy Schnurr (Mark) of Toronto, Lois (Doug) Turvey of Embro and Carl (Diane) Schnurr of Everet. Predeceased by her father Walter Schnurr.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or services at this time. A Private Family Service was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Cremation has taken place. A Public Memorial Celebration of Life will be held in the next few months. Special thanks to Hanover & District Hospital - Doctors and Staff for all their care and compassion shown to us for Janet.

Oh, Eddie, I'm so very sorry. To Joel, Dane, and all the rest of Janet's family You have my sincere condolences. Janet was such a beauty, a kind, caring person, a wonderful wife, and a mom. Going way to soon. The world just doesn't seem right without Janet.

My deepest sympathies to you in hearing of Janet’s death. I worked with her at the nursing home many years ago and often chatted when I shopped at Rona or if we ran into each other in Town. Janet was a kind, sweet, lovely soul with such a beautiful smile. Know that others are thinking of you all in the days and months ahead as you journey through your grief. May your precious memories bring you comfort.

Hi Ed and Family. I am so very sorry to hear of Janet's passing. My apologies for sending this so late as I was away and just found out. I am so sad for you and the family. She was such a nice girl. I remember the fun we used to have in school. I didn't see her that often but when I did it was so nice to catch up with her. She will be forever missed in my heart as I am sure she will be in yours.
