James Arthur Krueger, of Hanover, passed away suddenly at Hanover and District Hospital on Sunday, May 22, 2022. He was 71.
Born in Hanover on September 14, 1950 to the late Wilbert and Verna (nee Weber) Krueger. Better known to his family and friends as "Jim", he was an avid sportsfan for almost all sports. His love of baseball and the Montreal Canadiens was apparant by everyone who knew him and they were the ONLY team that was worth cheering for. He was employed with Interforest for many years as a Machine Operator until their closing and then worked for Ideal Supply as a driver. He enjoyed work, but enjoyed being with his family more.
Survived by devoted wife Dianne (nee Zettler) Krueger of Hanover. Special father of Lori (Kevin) Edwards and Sherry (Thomas) McGilveary both of Hanover. "Big Poppa" of Nathan (Ally), Alicia, Jillian (Jacob), Kaitlynn (Samson), Megan and his eight great grandchildren Madison, Jackson, Brody, Tatum, Wilson, Emersyn, Brooklyn and Skyla. Dear brother of Linda (Stanley) Pfeffer of Hanover, Paul Krueger of Toronto, Nancy (Richard) Dobson of Paisley, Betty Ann (Brad) Pringle of Markdale and stepbrother Lloyd (Anne) Lemon of Owen Sound. He will be missed by his sister in law Barb Fischer and brothers in law Ronald (Susie) Zettler, Kenny (Robyn) Zettler, Linda (Bruce) Baltzer and Robert Zettler. Loved by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents and step father Allan Lemon and step brother Walter Lemon.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Come and Go Celebration held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 1- 3pm at the Hanover Curling Club. Private family inurnment of ashes at Hanover Cemetery - Columbarium with Pastor Lyndsay McGregor officiating.
Memorial donations to the Sick Kids Hospital (www.sickkids.ca) or to the JumpStart Foundation (www.jumpstart.canadiantire.ca) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
I almost forgot (happens these days). Jimmy and I and also Murray E. shared BD on Sept. 14. Murray was the same year. Anyway RIP
