Howard Edward Kennedy, of Brussels, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday, May 5, 2022. He was 86.

Born in Arran Township on February 2, 1936 to the late William Lyle and Isabel Pearl (nee Chappell) Kennedy. Howard enjoyed racing horses... it was his passion. He was a faithful devoted member of Standardbred Canada.

Survived by children Murray (Linda) Kennedy of Paisley, Gordon Kennedy and John (Karen) Kennedy both of Hanover. Loved grandfather of Bradley Kennedy, Tanya (Paul) Skinner, Caitlin Kennedy and Alison Kennedy. He will be missed dearly by his loving companion Isabel. Fondly remembered by his brother Bill Kennedy of Hanover. Predeceased by his beloved wife Gail (nee Fuller) Kennedy and his sons Roy and Donald Kennedy and his brother Norm (Helen) Kennedy.

According to Howard’s wishes, a private service was held at Hanover Cemetery. Pastor Lyndsay McGregor officiated.

Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation were appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
