Edna Amelia Grein (nee Becker), of Normanby Township, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital, Hanover on Monday May 2, 2022.
She was in her 92nd year.
Born in Normanby Township on September 12, 1930 to the late John and Amelia (nee Seng) Becker. She loved life on the farm and raising her children.
Survived by children Larry Grein (Ayton), Don (Sheila) Grein (Harriston), Darlene Grein (Kanata), Nancy (James) Allen (Neustadt), Robert (Karen) Grein (Wingham), Keith Grein (Durham), Ken (Carol) Grein (Brantford) and Wayne (Lisa) Grein (Sweden). Dearly loved by her grandchildren Nathan, Kelly, Nigel, David, Carolyn, Kimberly, Michael, Curtis, Christina, Julia, Paul, Melissa, Justin, Tyler, Vincent, Vendela, Isabelle and great grandchildren Ella, Ava, Brody, Griffin, Kennedy, Coralye, Charlotte, Chloe, Riley, Colton, Rosa and Elden. She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Eileen Becker as well as the entire Becker and Grein Families. Predeceased by her beloved husband Earl, infant daughter Audrey and daughter in law Melanie Grein.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 12 noon -3pm
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church – Ayton at 2:00 pm.
Please note that masks are required to attend the service. Pastor Heather Spencer-Stoltz officiating.
Interment in Union Cemetery, Ayton, Ontario.
Memorial donations to the Trinity Lutheran Church, Alzheimer Society or to the Hanover & District Hospital will be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
