HALL
Mary Adeline Hall (nee Nicol), of Hanover, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 09, 2022. She was 96.
Born in Owen Sound on June 29, 1925 to the late Marshall and Addie (nee Barrow) Nicol. Mary was the last surviving member of her family. She was very outgoing and caring. She exemplified kindness and her generosity with not only family but friends. Also, she was very active in everything to do with her family and community. She was the glue that held us all together, whether it was attending her kid’s functions or driving them here and there and then graduated to being the #1 fan for her grandkids. In her down time she enjoyed word finds and especially her knitting. She knit for the church, coats for kids as well as volunteered for anything that needed an extra hand. Mary was also well known for her matching outfits and took great pride in her wardrobe. Her favorite place was Sauble Beach...no matter the weather; she would even swim on May 24 weekend snow or no snow. She instilled family values in each and every one of us and loved her family deeply.
Survived by daughter Sherry (Pud) Wood of Hanover and son Herb (Suzanne) Hall of Stoney Plain, Alberta. Much loved grandma of Shannon Marshall, Derek Wood, Mindy Hall (Tim Zippel) and Jason Hall (Emma) and great grandmother of Xander, Colin, Kayden, Ben, Hannah and Sebastian. She will be remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her beloved husband Al, infant son Allen and her siblings Bob, George, Herb and Dorothy Bricker.
Public Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 3-5pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Grace United Church in Hanover on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11:00 am. Please note to attend the church, masks are to be worn and social distancing will be followed. Rev. Micol Cottrell officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound, Ontario.
