Harold David "Hal" Harrison, of Hanover, passed away after a valiant battle with Cancer at Palmerston & District Hospital on Sunday, March 20, 2022. He was 77.
Born on June 8, 1944 in Toronto, Ontario to the late John and Helen (nee Richard) Harrison. Harold, known as "Hal" to many family and friends was retired from Home Hardware as a night shift material handler in 2010 in St. Jacobs. His passion was for sketching and graphic designing so much so that his nick name was "sketch". Hal had a great sense of humour and was always one to keep you hanging on to his jokes just to get a rise out of you. He was very intelligent and marvelled when he met someone that could keep up with not only his antics but his conversations as well.
Survived by devoted wife Brenda (nee Batten) Harrison of Hanover. Beloved stepdad of Annie (Bert) Dobben of London, Deb Heipel, Shirley (Mike) Klein both of Walkerton; beloved dad of Doug (Sheryl) Harrison, Nancy Harrison both of Halifax, Richard (Renee) Harrison of Sudbury, Mark (Candace) Harrison of British Columbia, and Matt Richardson (Jenny) of Listowel. Hal will be missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his brothers Guy Harrison, Doug Harrison and Joe Harrison as well as nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents, parents in law and his two sisters.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Private Family Graveside Inurnment Service will be held at Hanover Cemetery - Columbarium. Constance Giroux will be officiating.
Memorial donations to the Palmerston District Hospital or to the Salvation Army would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
