Reg Tomes, of Hanover, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 14, 2022. He was 70.
Born on December 6, 1951, in Hamilton, Ontario, to the late Allan and Audrey (Cox) Tomes. Many people may remember Reg from his years of service employed at Sklar Peppler, then Ralph Pitt Produce, as well as serving as a member of the Elmwood Fire Department, until his diagnosis of throat cancer in 2001.
Reg will be greatly missed by his wife Barbara (nee Morrison), and his sons James and Kevin, all of Hanover. Cherised 'Popa Bear' to 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Susan Gordon of Simcoe, and brothers Robert of London, and Charles of Simcoe. Predeceased by his parents, and brother Danny.
Arrangements for cremation have taken place with Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hanover & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
