Laura Ivadell Hopkins (nee McBride), formerly of Hanover, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Central Place in Owen Sound on Sunday, February 13, 2022. She was 88.
Born near Mount Forest on April 8, 1933 to the late Robert and Ella (nee Krotz) McBride. Laura was employed with P & H Foods for over 20 years until her retirement.
Survived by children Doug Hopkins of Ayr, Graham (Janice) Hopkins of R#1 Chesley, Darlene (Brian) Baetz of Hanover, Jay Hopkins of Bradford, Laureen Hopkins (Jake) of Kitchener and Diana (Mike) Proctor of Owen Sound. Loved grandmother of Becky Jo (Gerrit), Jessica (Troy), Nicole (Kenny), Laurel (Terry), Erin (Brandon), Tyler (Sam), Jennifer (Craig), Jeff (Jenn), Jayson(Angela), Josh (Stephanie), Jaycob, Jordan and Ben. Great grandmother of 11. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ken, grandson Joel, brothers Jack and Bill, and sisters Dorothy, Mildred and Ella.
Public Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 10-11am.
