Ruby Marie Monk, of Hanover, passed away due to declining health complications with COVID at Hanover and District Hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. She was 95. 

Born in Carrick Township, daughter of the late Harvey and Marie (Emel) Becker. Ruby was a devoted member of the Catholic Women's League with Holy Family Church in Hanover and was owner along side of her husband Cecil of the Butcher shop in Neustadt until retiring. Ruby loved to garden and spend time outdoors. 

Survived by son Larry and his wife Gina Monk of Hanover. Dear grandmother of Jeff and Jamie and step grandchildren of Kinda Althea Ramos and Herminio Ramos Jr. Fondly remembered by her siblings Bob (Sharon) Becker, Gerard (Dorothy) Becker, Rita (Albert) Deeves, Clarence (Joyce) Becker, Dorothy Walters and Jean Litt. Loved by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her beloved husband Cecil, a brother in infancy, siblings Norman (Ruth) Becker, Harvey (Dorothy) Becker, Albert Becker, Marcella (Alex)  Reich, Marina (Simon) Zettler, Bernice (Lloyd) Klein, and brothers in law Gerry Walters and Calvin Litt. 

To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. 

Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Holy Family Church, Hanover were appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
