Jay Edward Bell, of Hanover, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness with Alzheimers at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2022.
He was 70.
Born on October 19, 1951 in Toronto, Ontario to the late Joseph "Eddie" and Marguerite (nee Whynacht) Bell. Jay was a trucker and enjoyed travelling the road.
Survived by loved wife and best friend Doreen Mary (nee Roy) Bell of Hanover. Loved father of Joy (Manny) Spaans of Oshawa. Special grandpa of Caleb and Kyla. Remembered by his mother in law Mary Doreen Roy, sisters in law Leona (Pierce) Furlong both of Markdale, Jackie (Colin) Nibbs of Priceville and Theresa Sousa of Kitchener. He will be loved forever by his niece Melissa Quesnel of Ottawa and cousin Bonnie Tekstra of California. Predeceased by his parents.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer at a later date.
