Mary Adella Baxter, of Hanover, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Saturday, November 20, 2021. She was 88. 

Born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on May 2, 1933 to the late William and Eva (nee Reginer) Garrett. Mary was in the banking industry and especially loved accounting. Mary had a soft spot for her fur babies and was happy to have her four legged best friend, Maxine at her side. 

Survived by sons Gregory Umiker of Brampton, Leonard (Caroline) Umiker of Collingwood and Donald (Marianna) Baxter both of Toronto. Dearly loved grandmother of Michelle Boone, Nicole Umiker, Nathan and Eric Baxter. Great grandmother of Ashley and Hanna. Fondly remembered by her sisters  Eileen Christian and Joyce Bradshaw both of British Columbia. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her husbands John Uniker and  Donald Baxter, her brother Harold Garrett and sisters Ina Birch and Pauline David. 

To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private inurnment of ashes was held at the Hanover Cemetery. 

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.  Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
