ROWE
Carol Ann Rowe, of Walkerton, passed away at SBGHC-Walkerton, Brockton on Monday, October 25, 2021. She was 81.
Born in London, Ontario on July 18, 1940 to the late John and Aida (nee Timms) Evans. Carol was employed with Union Gas in Owen Sound in the administration department and at Hanover Baptist Church where she served as church secretary.
Carol loved living by the calm, clear waters of Marl Lake where she and her husband Ken raised their four children. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening, canning, and tending to her many flowerbeds. Carol was very involved in the community where she faithfully served the Lord as a member of Hanover Baptist Church for nearly 50 years. For many of those years, she directed the church choir, played the pipe organ, and served on many committees. She also took part in numerous community groups such as the Grey-Bruce Singers, Christian Women’s Club, and Walkerton’s annual Singer Christmas Tree. Singing was a true passion of Carol’s. She and her husband Ken were invited to sing together at countless weddings and local events year after year after year. But nothing was more dear to Carol’s heart than spending precious time with her grandchildren. They called her “Nana” and brought such joy into her life. They all knew that she loved them and that she was extraordinarily proud of each and every one of them.
Survived by daughters Lori (Tom) Eckensweiler of Hanover, Kathy (James) Cassidy of Ravenna, and Vicki (Jeff) Gingrich of Hanover, and son Steven (Kelly) Rowe of Newmarket. Loved Nana of Ian, Alex, Ben, Jake, Emma, Andrea, Christian, Ava, and Jonah. Loved by her sister Dale and brother John (Kathy) Evans as well as her nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth "Ken" Rowe.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of Brucelea Haven in Walkerton, along with many others who spent time taking such good care of our Mom / Nana.
Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
