Ronald (Ron) Bender, of Hanover, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, October 22, 2021, in his 71^st year.

Born in Stratford, Ontario on February 10, 1951 to Warren and Verna (nee Roth) Bender. Ron attended and graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture). In 1976, he met the love of his life, Betty, and they have been inseparable ever since. He enjoyed woodworking and loved to go to the beach just to listen to the waves. His favorite thing (other than Betty and his children) was his 2000 Chevy Corvette. In 2018 he purchased a Corvette Stingray Convertible but it had to be automatic so Betty could experience driving it. They loved to tour the roads together.

Survived by devoted wife Betty (nee Hakkers) Bender of Hanover. Dear son of Verna (nee Roth) Bender of Woodstock. Loved father of Matthew (Mirindy) Bender of Tavistock, Kyle (Jenie) Bender of Switzerland and Melena (Scott) M^cGregor of Hepworth. Special grandpa of Ethan, Molly, Sophie, Melody, Scotlyn and Ivy. Ron will be remembered by his siblings Terry (Velma) Bender of Woodstock, Murray Bender of Tavistock, Jeff (Pat) Bender of Wiarton, Karen (John) Smidts of Stratford as well his brother and sister in laws on Betty's side and their families. Predeceased by his father Warren and two children Brian and Rebecca in infancy.

Public Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 10-12 Noon. A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon.
