Ethel Elizabeth Emma Hickling (nee Timpson), formerly of Carrick Township, passed away peacefully at Rockwood Terrace in Durham on Saturday, August 28, 2021.  She was 84. 

Born on June 3, 1939 in Carrick Township to the late Lincoln and Martina (nee Steffler) Timpson. Ethel was a farm girl and enjoyed farming with her husband Ross. 

Left to mourn are her sisters Ruby Walsh of Kincardine and Jean (Lloyd) Secord of Hanover as well as three generations of nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents, husband Ross Hickling, brother Allan (Rosemarie) Timpson, brother-in-law Scott Walsh and great great niece Ivy Myerscough. 

A private family visitation and service will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021. Rev. Dan West officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover. For those who wish to view the funeral service, a video recording will be posted within 1-2 days following the service, and available for viewing here on the Funeral Home website on Ethel’s obituary page.
