SCHUTT

David Paul Schutt, aged 72, passed away suddenly at his home in Hanover on Friday, August 6, 2021. 

The son of  Fred and Lenore (McCrae) Schutt, he was born on June 15, 1949 in Stratford, Ontario. He attended elementary school in Stratford until the age of 15, when his family moved to Hanover. He completed his secondary education at John Diefenbaker Secondary School and then moved on to a long career as a Supervisor at Sklar-Peppler and Durham Furniture. He finished his working life at Exceldor, formerly known as P & H Foods. He married Marlene Litt on April 1, 1978. When not working, David enjoyed golfing and cheering on his beloved Yankees and Montreal Canadiens. He was happiest when outdoors, basking in the sunshine. 

Loved by his beloved wife Marlene of Hanover, sons Tony (Maria) Wettlaufer and Jarett (Rebecca) Schutt. Loved by granddaughters Halley Wettlaufer and Elsie and Aubrie Schutt. David will be also missed  by his mother in law Lois Litt, siblings Daryel (Cindy) Schutt, Pauline and Fred Jr., brother in law Brian (Carmel) Litt and sister in law Cindy Clyne (John Cox). He will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents and father in law Lloyd Litt.

To honour his wishes, there will be no visitation or formal services at this time. A private family gathering will be held in the Spring-- outdoors where memories and sharing of stories can be remembered at his favorite spot. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
